FinePix S9600
I captured you.
They are more than pressing the button on your camera.
A little connection. There is always a connection between the photographer and the object, personally I think the connection is more fascinating when you shoot in the street and connect with strangers.
Human presence. Do you think there has to be a human presence in a street photo? What difference would it make if there was a lack of human presence in the street photo?
Honest pictures. Pictures from the streets are in my opinion honest pictures, because they were not expected.
No expectations. I think when you are shooting in the streets you should not have any expectations, and be pleased with what you have achieved.
Respect. Shooting in the streets is a challenge for me. It is an exciting challenge and gives me a pleasure. Sometimes, people don’t like when you capture them. We have to respect each other, don’t we? So I take a photo smile and go.
Optimism. You have to be optimistic about your work, that way you can achieve anything you want.
We are not the same. See pictures bellow.

Behind you!

Standing next to you, with a camera in my hands.

Hello?

Granddad? Did you know...?

Now that I took a photo of you, you are not alone.

What did you see, with your eyes closed ?

You saw me taking picture of you and you liked it.

Behind you, again.

I was going to join you, but it was too cold.

And! Behind you.

Some interestingly 'real' shots there. I like the grainy black and white, street approach.

People watching with a camera. photos 2,4,6,and 8 are the best for me.Street photos for me are best in B&W as you see the images and not detracked by bright colours in the image. It also gives a sence of rawness/nakedness.
Good luck on your next photo shoots and more images posted please

Good character portraits and street pictures.
Photography is photography full stop. No need to analyze or question it. It has no philosophy. We all do it for different reasons, to show off, to achieve technical perfection, to capture beauty, to capture truth, to expose things to the light of day, as a record of place and time, to show a different view point and just because we can. Some people (the happy ones I suspect) do it for all the above reasons.
