Sorry it's a bit early but I won't be able to do it later. The Members' Exhibition Gallery is a place where you can post a copy of, and a link to, an image that you are pleased with. It is somewhere that, we hope, the excellence of the imagery produced by the members can be shown, and not lost in the masses of imagery that is posted each day. For that reason if you should see an image which is a gem, in your opinion, it would be good if you suggested to the photographer that they display the image here for us all to see.

Hi All,I went out last night to try to snap a certain subject....alas no luck,...I'll have to keep it secret....'til I manage to photograph one....he he...  anyhoooo, while I was out there I tried some hand-held HDR with the sunset clouds.  Managed to get a few quite clear ones...which was a surprise to me,...but I'm starting to realise whats going on with the metering in manual mode and can actually shoot the majority of the time in Focus...in Manual mode....lol

A fun photo session can be had with a couple of table lamps and a CD. Oh and a couple of pieces of black card.Put the CD on a black surface with the lamps pointing at it from either side and snap. Try different White Balance and different light positions. You could also try a small torch or a Pringles Snoot (http://diyphotography.net/crossing-over-to-the-dark-field-has-never-been-easier) to add variety.Have a go and lets see what you come up with. If needed darken the blacks using Levels in Photoshop/GIMP/Picassa etc and voilà.

I hae taken some pictures and it doesnt come out on the photograph but what is the reason for seeing the pink stripes ? Is this normal ? Does anyone else have this problem ? Would appreciate some feedback

I just bought my first good camera.  A fujifim Finepix S4250.  I've been playing alittle bit with all the different settings however alot of my indoor shots are kinda "dingy" looking....not crisp like I would prefer them.  Any suggestions on a setting to choose to correct that?

Hi,    Just getting into photography and want to get reasonable indoor sports shots (Taekwondo events). I have an HS20 EXR camera and understand that it is not probably the best camera for indoor sports events, but would like to get the most out of this camera as possible (Budget won't stretch to a full DSLR). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Below is a couple of pics taken at a recent event, although the 'action' is caught the quality is very noisy. The settings used were:

Trying to figure out if it is possible to improve on my indoor concert shots. I posted 2 or 3 of the better ones that I got. I am only usuing a 2940 model which I know is not a dslr and not ideal for this kind of photography. I was happy with the shots that I did get, just wondered if there were any better settings that might make them any better next time around. Auto setting was useless inside with no flash...i went into manual mode with preference to the shutter speed and adjusted a little.

Hi everyone, as some of you have seen many of my photos have been taken outdoors using my new HS20 EXR and now with the addition of a Canon 1.5X telephoto converter just to get me that little bit closer. Now the bird hide, lets just say that I've made up my own 'large' hide but even though I know you will all laugh at my photo below it works!

Hi All,Been playing with my new Raynox 250 again...lol  wanted a Macro HDR of a Dandelion Seed Head...just hadn't thought about.....the Breeze.....lol   but with a little patience waiting for a quiet spell...I managed to snap a few. Had the HS20 set for 3 x AE BKT and EV +/- 1.After I processed the HDR in PaitShop Pro x4...I loaded it to Photoscape to do the watermark...then when I uploaded it here...the watermark has been sucked into the Bokeh round the edge of the Sed Head...eh ?...so any ideas on that would be much appreciated.

Hi all,It's my brothers wedding this weekend and his photographer has cancelled (very professional!!). At last minute he has had trouble booking someone... so, (cut to the chase i hear you say)..he has asked me to hep by taking some pictures. He has asked everyone else to use their point and shoot cameras aswell but he rang me and said he  really really wants me to take some. Problem is that i have no idea what i'm doing. I have at my disposal my S2950 (and a Canon 400d)... i've read up on ebooks and forums only for them to be completely baffling.

why is it when you post a picture onto the weekly members gallery, your picture ends up as the last in the gallery? ive just posted a picture and its 3 pages from the top where it will recieve very little exposure (no one likes going that far when viewing). surely the newest posts should be on top then that way all posts get equal exposure. as it stands now those who posted first stay top throughout the week and are the first to be seen for the duration of the week which in my opinion is unfair and does not make any sense whatsoever.

Went to a new Mega shopping complex here in Bangkok Thailand yesterday. The first ice skating rink in Bangkok has just opened. It appeared the skaters needed a lot of practice. Please don't laugh. They are trying to do their best. I shot some  HD video of the skaters for a test. I am very pleased with the results. If you would like to see them, click on the links below. Be sure and zoom to full screen.Below is standard windows media video- size 2.14 MBhttp://dl.dropbox.com/u/17748698/Ice%20scateing%20Thailand.wmvBelow is the same scene in HD- size 27 MB

Hi everyone, I am very new to photography but I am learning rapidly!Today I ventured down to our local nature reserve and spotted a mating pair of Fly Catchers going in and out of their nest box and resting if only for a few seconds on a fallen tree branch.

Hi All,My Raynox DCR 250 arrived the other day, so yesterday took advantage of the change in weather ...the sun appeared...in a cloudy sky. Clipped the 250 on my HS20...and had a go at some insects and stuff in the back garden...and here is one for your approval ..or not...lol.  I know I should use a tripod for macro shots...especially with the DCR 250...but until I understand first hand...why this is so....I had to try it to see.

Having spent the weekend reading lots of posts on here and watching quite a few videos on utube. I decided to take a few shots using the Manual mode. Still not sure what ISO to use but I found the Exposure Indicator very helpful.I used my HS20exr, tripod and the timer. So with the help of a crow, the cat and tin can in neighbours yard heres my pics. http://www.myfinepix.co.uk/gallery/476287/471823http://www.myfinepix.co.uk/gallery/476287/471826http://www.myfinepix.co.uk/gallery/476287/471827http://www.myfinepix.co.uk/gallery/476287/471830
